James Beard Preview Dinner at Sorghum & Salt

Charleston’s Chef Tres Jackson has been invited to showcase his talents on sacred culinary grounds…at the James Beard House. The New York City food and beverage namesake is reserved to feature only the most revered chefs in the industry like legends Daniel Boulud, Nobu Matsuhisa, and Gail Gand who have all cooked there. March 20, Tres Jackson will join the ranks of these culinary forces and will present his talents in the former home of James Beard himself. While this is an exciting event for them, many of Sorghum & Salt’s patrons will not be able to take time for a trip up to New York to attend the dinner. That’s why they’re bringing the James Beard House guest chef dinner right here to Charleston where all can enjoy it on Wednesday, February 21.

“I’m honored to be invited to cook as a guest chef at the Beard House” says Jackson “Since it will be a memorable event for Sorghum & Salt and we have incredible people who support us in Charleston year round, we want to celebrate and share the experience with them here at home.”

The James Beard guest chef preview dinner at Sorghum & Salt will present a sneak peak of the tasting menu that is to be offered at the James Beard House guest chef dinner, with a couple of twists. Reservations can be made at resy.com with two seating times of 6:00 pm and 8:15 pm.
