My name is Betsy Chapman, and I work for the Taco Mamacita. I am also a big fan of Queen of the Food Age!

Taco Mamacita has introduced an all new brunch menu, which is available on Saturdays and Sundays from 10am-3pm. We would love for you to come and try the new brunch items when you get a chance.

Hi Sydney! I have two friends, young (broke) star-crossed lovers, who will be visiting Charleston for one night this week. One of them will be there for the first time. They need a cheap romantic place to eat (or at least grab dessert and wine) while they’re down there. Any suggestions? Just a table for two, good food and not too much noise is all they need. Oh, and cheap! lol Thanks!

Ooooh… that’s a good question. My first instinct is to say Five Loaves on Cannon Street. Not sure what your definitions of “romantic” or “cheap” are, but I love love love R Kitchen. It makes for a great date night and very unique, for like $25 / person, but you get 5 courses. Also, Fast & French would be cheap and pretty romantic… OH Park Cafe could be a good option too. For dessert, people love Kaminsky’s and they can take it to go and eat it at waterfront park, which is super romantic. Hope that helps!! <3
