Negroni Social at Warehouse

Warehouse is partnering up with High Wire Distilling Co. to host their Inaugural Negroni Social: A celebration of All Things Negroni on Sunday June 4th from 6-9pm. Featuring live music and a Negroni-themed food menu, the inaugural social will celebrate the classic drink and invite guest bartenders to compete on delicious variations of the classic cocktail. Warehouse’s Executive Chef, Emily Hahn will be creating a menu of summer picnic plates featuring popular ingredients used in Negroni cocktails, such as Hat Trick Gin, Campari, and a variety of Vermouths, Amaros, and apertifs. With awards for Best-in- Show, Warehouse bartender Alex Copley will be judging the best Negroni cocktail—a competition between guest bartenders for the best variation on the classic Negroni. Guest bartenders include Roderick Scott of Sermet’s- James Island, Teddy Nixon from Bar Mash, Megan Deschaine from The Macintosh, Justin Simko from Husk and Best-in- show will be awarded a $100 gift card to Warehouse and Hat Trick Gin swag. Holy City Hospitality, one of Charleston’s largest locally-owned hospitality groups, is celebrating the official wine of summer with an inaugural Rosé on Hutson Alley event. Taking Place along the cobblestones of Hutson Alley, guests can enjoy a robust selection of Rosé from five restaurants, live music, Rosé-inspired dessert bites from Good Food Catering, passed hors d'oeuvres and a special Frosé drink from The Victor Social Club. In addition, Andres Contreras, Assistant Manager of 39 Rue de Jean and Charleston City Paper’s Best Sommelier, will be on hand to engage with guests. Kairos Greek Kitchen will host Charleston Promise Neighborhood (CPN) fundraiser, donating 100 percent of proceeds from sales on Saturday, August 5th. Plus, to celebrate kids going back to school, the fast casual Greek spot is serving kids for free from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. located at 1100 Bowman Road, Building 3, Suite 101 Mount Pleasant, SC. As a steadfast advocate since CPN’s founding in 2010, the restaurant has supported the nonprofit organization with corporate gifts and company volunteers. To date, the company has generated $50,000 to benefit students attending four high poverty public schools located in CPN’s footprint. National Pro BBQ Tour Comes to North Charleston

The National Pro BBQ Tour, the largest barbeque tournament in America, makes its way to North Charleston, S.C., on Saturday, August 12, 2017. Thirty competition BBQ teams will battle it out for a chance to win $10,000 and to advance to the Regional Championship. Sam’s Club, the presenting sponsor of the National Pro BBQ Tour, will host the event at 4900 Centre Point Dr. Each competition is sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society, the world’s largest organization of barbeque and grilling enthusiasts. The teams will prepare four traditional KCBS competition categories – chicken, pork ribs, pork butt, brisket – and scores will be compiled from all four to determine the teams moving onto the Regional Championship.
