Chef Frank Lee will join Chef Reid Henninger at Edmund’s Oast for a special one-night only dinner service on Thursday, March 16. Frank Lee has been a big inspiration to Reid and several of his cooks, and Edmund’s Oast wanted to pay tribute to his culinary contributions. The menu will feature some classic dishes Frank is best known for including those featured in his new book The SNOB Experience. The book will be available for sale. As a way to raise significant funds for Hogs for the Cause in 2017, Home Team BBQ has created a new month-long campaign in March—Tacos and Tequila. There will be a number of opportunities to support the charity, including: Tacos A featured taco created in collaboration with Chef Jonathan Banta of The Atlantic Room in the Ocean Course and Home Team BBQ Pitmaster Madison Ruckel will be served at all Charleston locations. 100% of these proceeds will go to Hogs for the Cause. Each Tuesday in March from 9:00 to midnight, a guest chef will onsite to create a special taco that will be served on the menu downtown for the duration of that week. The sales from this taco will also go directly towards the charity. Tequila Home Team BBQ will serve a special shot of Milagro with a verdita, a variation on sangrita, at all Charleston locations. $1 of each shot sold will benefit the charity. The Downtown location will offer a tequila cocktails coined The Wild Rumpus: milagro tequila, aperol, passion fruit, death relish agave, and lime shaken and served in a Collins glass over ice with a citrus salt rim. $1 of each cocktail sold will…

27th Annual Folly Beach Sea & Sand Festival

The 27th Annual Sea & Sand Festival, Folly Beach's longest-running event, will take place on Friday, April 7 and Saturday, April 8. This celebration of Folly Beach, presented by the Folly Association of Business (FAB), features over 85 local art and food vendors throughout Folly River Park and Center Street. The event kicks off Friday, April 7th with the 4th Annual Miss Sea & Sand Pageant in the Folly River Park at 7 p.m. Winners in various age groups will have the opportunity to wear their crowns and sashes during the Sea & Sand Festival, and may also volunteer to appear at all of Folly’s fun events throughout the year. The festivities continue at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 8 with a celebration of Folly art and food that stretches up Center Street, from Huron to Ashley, with even more vendors in Folly River Park. The giant kids’ activities zone features a four-station bungee jump trampoline, carnival games, face-painting & more. Other attractions include a mechanical bull, corn hole, silent auction, book signing and 6 live bands. Festival entry is $5; children 10 and under are free. Slow Food Charleston’s second annual Snail Awards are set to return to the American Theater on April 13, 2016. Chef David Schuttenberg of Fish will host guest chefs Zak Pelaccio of Fish & Game (NY), Bob Cook of Artisan Meat Share (SC), John Lewis of Lewis Barbeque (SC), and Air Casebier of FEAST (SC) in an evening celebrating producers, artisans, educators, advocates and others who are advancing Slow Food’s mission of Good, Clean, and Fair food for all. “Holy City Welcome” Wine + Canvas Class

The annual All-Americana Crawfish Boil will take place at Home Team BBQ’s downtown location on Saturday, April 29. From 2:00-7:00 p.m., guests can enjoy live music and a plate of crawfish for $15 in advance, $20 at the door. Additional plates can be purchased for $10 each.
